Silk happens to be one of the most durable fabrics known and is by far our overwhelming choice of necktie fabrics. Silk is a natural fiber, acknowledged for both practical and brilliant qualities. The translucent cellular structure of silk allows it to absorb dyes and to reflect light to a high degree, giving the finished product a pure color and a beautiful luster. Take the ancient art of weaving and pair it with modern stye and technology and you get silk fabric designs like you’ve never seen before. There’s a reason that all the other neckties out there look the same. It’s because they are all made from the same existing rolls of fabric that have been sitting on the shelf waiting to become something useful. Each of our designs starts on the drawing board, inspired by everything from fine art to vintage wallpaper. The pattern is then transferred to the loom where handpicked thread colors are woven together into exclusive silk fabric that is hand cut and tailored by expert artisans.
